Sustainable Packaging with KW Shrinkwrappers
October 10, 2007
Alongside our pro-active approach to sustainability with our cartoning equipment, we mustn't forget one method of packaging is that has always been environmentally favourable; shrinkwrapping.
This uses no carton or paperboard, so as an alternative to corrugated case packing it offers an immediate environmental benefit. Polyethylene is an easily re-cyclable material, and also has a much lower cost than cases.
In addition, shrink-wrapped packs weigh less than case packs, with less volume, so there is potential to transit more products per pallet.
Kliklok Woodman has developed a variety of machines for collating & shrink-wrapping products at different speeds and orientations. Products that can be handled and shrink-wrapped include tubs of ice cream, books, jars, pots of cream, milk poly-bottles, juice cartons, bottled drinks etc.
