Kliklok Woodman Releases New Bagmaker, Compak II
October 29, 2004
Decatur, Georgia — Kliklok-Woodman announces the release of the reliable and space-efficient, Compak II. A modernization of one of the industry's leading bagmakers, Compak II offers a larger size range in the same compact footprint as the original, with newly added features including the integration of Kliklok-Woodman's cutting-edge operator interface, Insight®. In addition, Compak II has been updated with advanced electronics and servo motors for supreme reliability and lower maintenance. Compak II's features include:
Insight® Color Touch Screen
Kliklok-Woodman's Insight software package is a graphics-based operator interface. The wide use of pictures and icons make the system simple to operate, providing higher productivity.
"Off-the-Shelf" PLC-Based Control System
The Yaskawa PLC is focused on motion control first, because better motion control means superior performance, lower operating costs and higher profitability.
Automatic Machine Timing
Parameter settings are automatically adjusted for optimal performance, based on bag length and speed. Automatic timing means dramatically increased operating efficiencies and reduced waste.
Snack Food Features
The Compak II standard features include product stripping, product clamp and settling device and a product poker. These snack food features help provide higher quality seals, greater efficiency and reduce packaging waste.
Simple to Maintain
The Compak II offers a single pneumatic control point and simplified wiring, allowing for faster trouble shooting and reduced spare parts needs.
Compak II will debut during PMMI PackExpo International 2004, at McCormick Place in Chicago. PackExpo 2004, a biennial event, runs November 7-11th, and is one the industry's largest machinery shows worldwide. Kliklok-Woodman will be showcasing Compak II, along with five other systems in booth S-1601, encompassing end-load and top-load cartoning, vertical-form-fill seal machines and weighers.
