Kliklok supplies Display Card Loader for Sun Valley Nuts
October 03, 2005
Kliklok Woodman has recently installed another Display Card Loader (DCL) at Sun Valley, Bromborough. With six DCL machines already successfully running, Sun Valley ordered a seventh to handle increased production of 11 different products from Roasted cashews to Chilli Peanuts in 6 different sized 25g and 50g bags, at speeds of up to 80 bags per minute.
Sun Valley is currently expanding their facilities to cope with increasing demand for their superior quality and aptly named King of Nuts range of Snack products.
David Rimmer, Sun Valley Operations Director, said "Our current sales growth has dictated that we expand our current carding facilities to cope with this increasing demand. This DCL machine offers us the flexability and efficiency that we require to achieve our ambitious growth plans".
A truly unique innovation from the Kliklok Woodman range, the Display Card Loader machine is designed to automatically attach bags to display cards, for point of sale presentation - filled cards are often seen hanging in bars & off licences.
Ideally suited to integration with a Kliklok Woodman bag maker, the DCL Card is a high quality reliable machine designed for twenty-four hour operation. The machine is capable of loading bags onto the display cards without the use of staples or glue, the cards use a locking slot to retain the bags firmly in place during distribution and display whilst still allowing bags to be easily removed at point of sale.
The machine principle is based on two indexing conveyors, one feeds bags to a pick and place mechanism, the other delivers the display card to be filled. Sun Valley required a 3-column card format, with different row patterns of 4's, 6's and 8's.
Kliklok Woodman is the only commercial manufacturer of DCL machines worldwide.
