Confectionery Packaging from Kliklok Woodman
October 21, 2005
The confectionery industry continues to develop new and attractive ideas for packaging their products. Kliklok-Woodman anticipates these trends and is able to supply a complete range of packaging machinery to suit this growing market.
K-W recently supplied top load cartoning equipment to Nestlé France, to handle wrapped chocolate 'Lion Bars' at 120 cartons per minute. For end load cartoning, at Cadbury Trebor Bassett in Sheffield, UK, bags of Liquorice Allsorts and Wine Gums are being loaded into tapered cartons at speeds of up to 120 per minute by a Kliklok SFR, their short footprint stainless steel cartoner with easy size change.
In a similar installation using tapered and standard rectangular cartons, Kliklok has supplied ChocMod in France with an SFR, running at 90 cartons a minute with the product, bags of luxury chocolate truffles, hand placed into the infeed conveyor.

In New Zealand, Goodman Fielder had a need to automatically carton "Uncle Toby's" 15gram & 20gram foil-wrapped fruit Roll Ups - Confectionery made with real fruit, a healthy alternative for children's lunch boxes. Kliklok-Woodman supplied their CCI end load machine, a fully automatic compact intermittent cartoner - packing 6 wraps per carton - 2 layers of 3.
In a market as diverse and competitive as the confectionery industry, and with so much choice on offer, Kliklok-Woodman understands that the right packaging and product presentation are vital to attract the attention of the buying public.
