Kliklok-Woodman supplies ready meal packaging line to Findus

Frozen food producer Findus have just installed a Kliklok SFR end load cartoning machine at its ready meal line at Longbenton in the U.K.
Already a user of Kliklok equipment at this plant, this is the first SFR cartoner Findus UK have purchased, although Findus Sweden have been running this model at its Bjuv plant since 2002, also for ready meals. Increased production at Longbenton prompted the need to replace the existing Kliklok Captain H machine which had been running successfully for many years, and replace with a fully automatic solution.
The Kliklok line accepts filled ready meal 'Meat & Potato Pie' trays in 500g and 900g sizes, onto the SFR's integrated 'smartbelt' infeed unit. This gaps & times each tray arriving from random queue, to ensure the products are transferred smoothly and accurately before insertion into the carton and subsequent glue closure - at up to 120 cartons per minute.
With its short footprint, stainless steel construction and easy-size change features, the Kliklok SFR offers Findus a simple but efficient automatic packaging line.
